Our team's Scholars' Club program provides students enrichment opportunities for acquiring and applying knowledge. Often, a topic or concept introduced in class may spark the interest of a student. We welcome students to investigate such topics further outside of class. Scholars' Club points can also be earned for optional extension or enrichment activities, turning in assignments early, completing bonus questions, participating in special events, completing Buzzmath missions, or simply going "above and beyond" in general.
The Scholars' Club awards ceremony is held after each 9 weeks to reward students for their initiative and extending their learning. During team time, inductees receive a certificate of achievement and choose from prizes in order of points earned. The bar for total points needed in order to get into Scholars' Club is set by the students and teachers at the end of the 9 weeks based on participation.
