Salut! Je m'appelle Madame Tena.
I have been teaching fifth and sixth grade French at Boyce Middle School since 1995. My study abroad experiences include semesters abroad at the Université de Nancy in France and the Universidad de Valladolid in Spain, as well as a summer at the Université Laval in Québec, Canada. I have a Master of Education in Foreign Language from the University of Pittsburgh, and undergraduate education degrees in French and Spanish from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
I enjoy traveling, and have been fortunate to visit many French-speaking countries including Canada, France, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and Morocco. Some of my favorite experiences include attending the summer music festival in Québec, Carnaval in Venice, and Las Fallas in Spain.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy family time with my husband and three kids.
