    Background:

    I grew up in a small town, Saxonburg, Pennsylvania, and continued my education to earn a Bachelors of Science from Grove City College in May 2009 and a Masters of Education from Gannon University in May 2012. This is my fifth year at Fort Couch and I am excited to be your child’s teacher!  I taught Pre-Algebra on Team 2 for two years and am teaching Algebra I for the third time this year. Aside from teaching I am the student council advisor as well as coach varsity track and field. 

    My passion for education is seen both inside the classroom and out.  Your child’s success and achievement in mathematics is of utmost importance to me.  I know that you are the expert of your child so I look forward to partnering with you to facilitate this achievement.  Please do not hesitate to ever contact me and I will do my best to respond to you in a timely fashion.

    Courses Taught and brief description

    Pre-Algebra  (2009-2011)

    Pre-Algebra introduces students to many concepts of mathematics.  We learned about Algebra, Geometry, Problem Solving, Rates, and Probability.

    Algebra (2011-present)

    As your child is entering Algebra I, they will find that they will be challenged to reach beyond the classroom through mathematics.  I will work to motivate and develop skills necessary for your child to connect mathematics to real life applications.  Your child should expect to use technology, work in groups, work on projects, and have fun while gaining an understanding of math.

    Student Council Advisor

    Through student council students build life long leadership skills.  We are continually committed to helping our school and community.  Our large campaigns are Reach Out, The Education Partnership, Red Ribbon Week, and decorating for the Valentine’s Day Dance.

    Upper St. Clair High School Varsity Track and Field Coach

    I have coached hurdles for the USC varsity team for 3 years.
