Degrees and Certifications:
B.S. in Early Childhood Education PK-4
My name is Erin Kyle. I am thrilled to be a member of the 2nd Grade Team this year! This will be my third year teaching and my first year at Streams. I attended Streams when I was in elementary school, so being a 2nd grade teacher at this school is truly my dream job!
I am originally from Upper St. Clair and have lived here most of my life. I was a competitive Cheerleader for nine years and cheered at the collegiate level. I attended Pennsylvania State University, where I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (PK-4). At Penn State, I completed the accredited Professional Development School (PDS) student teaching program, which afforded me the opportunity to teach Second Grade for the duration of my senior year and gave me a strong background in curriculum instruction. After I graduated from Penn State, I moved down to Virginia to begin my career at Loudoun County Pubic Schools as a Kindergarten Teacher.
As a teacher, I believe it is my job to help students develop a positive feeling towards school. I believe a positive attitude towards learning is the foundation to a great education. Our classroom motto is “Bee Happy”, I strive to make sure my students focus on the good of every day and recognized that they learned something new every day. My classroom is high energy! I am always on my students’ team and always have their best interest in mind whenever I plan lessons or do any activity in the classroom.
I have a little brother who is a Junior at Upper St. Clair High School! You can find me cheering him on at his football games on Friday nights! I also have a large extended family, so in my free time I enjoy spending time with my cousins and other family members. I also enjoy going to the beach every chance I can! I love to spend my time outdoors and being with friends and family.
