Have you ever wondered if frogs could fly on a Tuesday? Have you ever created your own magic land where “wild things” live? Have you ever imagined climbing on board the Polar Express? If so, then join our class and enter the world of fantasy, where anything is possible! With the help of seven Caldecott Award winning books, you will read, explore, and come to create a portfolio of your own short stories. This workshop will have you examining story structure, serving as a movie critic, and being the author and illustrator of your very own fantasy book. All that’s required is a creative mind, a love of reading, and a passion for creative writing. So what are you waiting for? Grab a pen and join us for an adventure into the literary genre of fantasy. (Please note that this course contains content that is repeated each summer. It is not recommended to be taken more than once.)
