• Two-hour Delay Information

Snowflake In the event of a two-hour delay, all announcements will indicate: “Upper St. Clair Schools, 2-hour delay, modified kindergarten schedule.”

For students in grades 1-12, morning bus stop pick-up and the start of the school day will begin two hours later than normal. Afternoon dismissal times are NOT impacted – students will arrive home at their normal time.

Kindergarten students will adhere to the following modified schedule:
    • Morning Session: 10:15 a.m. – 11:55 a.m. (begins two hours later and dismisses one hour later)
    • Afternoon Session: 1:05 p.m. – 2:45 p.m. (begins with a one hour delay and dismisses on-time)

    K-Plus/Extended Day Services

The K-Plus Program of Extended Day Services also follows the modified kindergarten schedule when there is a delay. Therefore, if USC is delayed by two hours, the K-Plus Program begins at 10 a.m. rather than 8 a.m.

    Food Services

On two-hour delays, cold breakfast (cereal, breakfast bars, fruit and milk) is available at the elementary and middle schools. At the high school, breakfast sandwiches are offered; however, the timeframe for breakfast is shortened. The lunch menu is not impacted.

Parkway West Career & Technology Center

When Upper St. Clair School District calls a two-hour delay, morning Parkway students will also follow a two-hour delay. Students will be picked up two hours later than normal and will be transported to Parkway for the remainder of the morning. The afternoon Parkway program will continue as scheduled.
