Biography:
I am a graduate of Geneva College where I earned a bachelor's of science in biology and a bachelor's of science in chemistry. After working in the education department with delinquent youth in a Christian boy's home called Teen Challenge, I realized a strong desire to combine my passion for working with teenagers and my knowledge of science as a high school teacher. I continued my education at the University of Pittsburgh where I earned a Master's of Arts in Teaching. I worked in the McKeesport Area School District from 2001 to 2003. I currently work at Upper St. Clair School High School, where I teach biology and chemistry courses.Teaching Philosophy
I believe students learn best when they are both challenged and supported. I strive to do both on a daily basis with groups of students and individually.
