    Course Taught:

Academic Physics:  This course serves as an introduction to the broad field of physics.  The first semester focuses on mechanics answering the essential questions of "How do we measure motion?" and "Why do objects move (or not)?"  During the second semester we turn our attention to waves, sound and light with the essential question "How do we use waves to communicate?"  We then finish the year with an introduction to static and current electricity with the essential question "How is electricity important to my life?"

AP Environmental Science: This course follows the AP curriculum which includes studies of earth systems, ecology, population, land and water use, energy resources and consumption, pollution and global change.  The course is very student-centered with daily classroom activities that reinforce the reading and note-taking that students complete outside of class.
