My name is Joanna Darakos, and I am in my 16th year of teaching. I am excited to be working in one of the best school districts in Western Pennsylvania.
Prior to teaching, I worked as a television reporter in Mississippi. I had many opportunities to use my Spanish on the job, and I believe this skill made me very marketable. Once I made the switch to teaching, finding a job was no problem. Knowing a second language at an advanced level will open doors. It did for me!
