About Me

I graduated from West Virginia University with a B.A. in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts in Education specializing in special education. I began my teaching career in West Virginia in 2008. I also taught in North Carolina before returning to Pittsburgh. I joined the Upper St. Clair High School staff in 2019 after teaching in another Pittsburgh district. My certifications include elementary education, special education, and English. 

Courses Taught

Applied Learning Strategies (ALS) - This class focuses on learning strategies utilizing all content curriculums. Students who are recommended will develop better test-taking strategies, note-taking skills, self-advocacy skills, organizational skills, and other individualized needs.

English 9 - I co-teach this course with another English 9 teacher in order to best support student needs in the general education classroom. I also teach a section of Learning Support English 9 in a small group setting.
