USC logo The Upper St. Clair School Board is considering three potential capital projects including:
  • A new eight-lane swimming pool to replace the current five-lane pool that is original to the high school, which was built in 1961.

  • A new multi-use complex adjacent to the high school stadium, which would include versatile community and meeting spaces; ADA compliant facilities – including restrooms, concession stand and ticket booths/entry for stadium events; as well as accommodating central office personnel to meet current and future needs.

  • The addition of restrooms, concession stand and announcers’ booth at Boyce field for which the infrastructure was added during the facility’s renovation in 2010.
On Oct. 10, 2016, the Upper St. Clair School Board approved preliminary architectural services for these projects with McLean Architects. Preliminary designs, which serve as a starting point for discussions with the community, were presented at the Nov. 14, 2016, school board meeting.

Upper St. Clair School District hosted a Community Forum on Nov. 29, 2016, which was attended by more than 200 community members. The architect presented the preliminary plans and school officials provided additional information regarding potential financial considerations. Community members shared comments, questions, suggestions and concerns.
